Zelensky's photos irritate Trump

According to the Daily Mail, the American President has decided to cool relations with the United Kingdom, angered by a meeting between King Charles III and the Ukrainian President.

Diplomatic sources in Washington told the Daily Mail that the British monarch's gesture had created tensions in US-UK relations.

According to sources, Trump's staff made it clear to US officials in the UK that the photos of the King with Mr Zelensky had angered the US president, especially in light of Mr Trump's recent invitation to London for a state visit.

British government officials told the Americans that the King could not be dictated to.

The meeting between King Charles and Mr Zelensky took place last Sunday, just days after British Labour leader Keir Starmer invited Mr Trump to make a state visit on behalf of the King.
