Zelensky wants an international military deployment in Ukraine

Mr Zelensky wants progress to be made regarding the creation of an international military "contingent" in Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has asked his allies to make progress in creating a military contingent that could be deployed in Ukraine in the event of peace, with the aim of preventing further Russian attacks.

"We need to clearly define the size, structure, deployment, logistics, support, equipment, and armament of this security contingent in Ukraine," said Mr Zelensky in a video message broadcast during a meeting of allied military leaders in Brussels.
