The global athletics federation announced this week that the 300 metres hurdles will become an official event at all championships.
This means that from now on, there will also be a world ranking for this brand-new hurdle event and henceforth, there can be an official world record.
The Dutch athlete Femke Bol and Norway's Karsten Warholm will find this very good news as they are both world-class in this discipline. With 36.86, no woman on this earth has ever been faster than Femke Bol over the 300m hurdles, and the Norwegian phenomenon Karsten Warholm also allows no competition with his 33.26 among men.
