"The Empire Strikes Back", one of the most iconic films in the history of cinema, celebrates its 45th anniversary.

Director George Lucas wanted to please the millions of "Star Wars" fans by giving them incredible details about a character as beloved as Yoda. The Jedi master has always drawn everyone's attention, not only because of his appearance but also because of his curious way of speaking. In a Q&A session with fans, George Lucas revealed one of Star Wars' enigmas regarding Yoda: why does Yoda place words in the wrong order in his sentences, giving the impression of speaking backwards?

"If you speak normal English, people won't listen to you as much, but if you have an accent, or it's very difficult to understand what you're saying, they focus on what you're saying," explained George Lucas to clarify why Yoda constructed his sentences backwards, which gave his thoughts a mystique within the saga.

"In a way, he was the philosopher of the film. He had to find a way for people to really listen, especially 12-year-olds," confirmed the filmmaker.
