West Ham 1 - 5 Chelsea
Chelsea thrashed their London rivals despite West Ham striking first through Lucas Paquetá. The Blues quickly responded via João Pedro, before Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernández sent them into the break two goals up. In the second half, Moisés Caicedo and Trevoh Chalobah sealed a comprehensive victory, burying any hope for the Hammers.
Manchester City 0 - 2 Tottenham
Spurs stunned the champions at the Etihad. Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for the visitors, and João Palhinha doubled the lead just before halftime after a blunder from keeper James Trafford.
Bournemouth 1 - 0 Wolverhampton
The match was decided in just four minutes, as Marcus Tavernier gave Bournemouth the lead. Despite Wolves going down to ten men after Toti Gomes was sent off, the Cherries couldn’t extend their advantage.
Burnley 2 - 0 Sunderland
A battle of the newly promoted sides went Burnley’s way. After being thrashed by Tottenham last week, Scott Parker’s men bounced back with second-half goals from Josh Cullen and Jaidon Anthony to claim their first win of the season.
Brentford 1 - 0 Aston Villa
Brentford took all three points thanks to a goal from new signing Dango Ouattara midway through the first half.
Arsenal 5 - 0 Leeds
Arsenal showed no mercy to the newly promoted side. Leeds held firm for just over half an hour before Jurriën Timber broke the deadlock. Bukayo Saka doubled the lead before the break, and after halftime Viktor Gyökeres netted his first league goal. Timber added a second for himself, and Gyökeres completed the rout from the penalty spot late on.
Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Nottingham Forest
The points were shared at Selhurst Park. Ismaïla Sarr put Palace ahead, but Callum Hudson-Odoi equalized for Forest.
Everton 2 - 0 Brighton
On their debut at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton delivered a win for their fans. Iliman Ndiaye struck in the first half, and James Garner doubled the lead after the break.
Fulham 1 - 1 Manchester United
No winner at Craven Cottage. Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty for United before a Rodrigo Muniz own goal put the visitors in front. Emile Smith Rowe rescued a point for Fulham with a second-half equalizer.
Newcastle 2 - 3 Liverpool
Liverpool snatched victory in dramatic fashion after nearly throwing it away. Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike gave the Reds a two-goal cushion, but Bruno Guimarães and William Osula brought Newcastle level. Deep into stoppage time, 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha scored a stunning winner in the 100th minute to secure all three points.
