For the second night in a row, the Russian capital was targeted by Ukrainian attack drones.

On the night of Monday to Tuesday, the Ukrainian armed forces launched over a hundred drones at Russia. Among others, the capital Moscow was targeted, and the operation of about ten airports was disrupted. This was reported by the Russian authorities.

The mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin stated that nineteen drones were intercepted. Debris fell on a major avenue in the south of Moscow, and according to Sobyanin, no one was injured.

On Friday, 9 May, a military parade will take place in Moscow to commemorate the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II. Several world leaders are expected to attend, including the Chinese President Xi Jinping. For this reason, Russia has unilaterally called for a three-day ceasefire to celebrate. However, Ukraine has not yet agreed to this temporary three-day truce for the celebrations on 9 May.
