He had said he “would like to be pope”... And here is Donald Trump posting a photo of himself on his social network, wearing papal regalia.
Last Friday, the entire world got a glimpse of what the American president would look like as a pope, at least in appearance. A colour photo was shared on the Truth Social platform, showing him seated in a chair, looking solemn, with a closed expression, dressed in the pope's white cassock, mitre on his head, displaying the large gold cross around his neck, left hand resting on his thigh and right finger pointing to the sky, as reported by the media outlet 20 Minutes. According to American media, who did not hesitate to republish the portrait, the image was probably generated by AI (artificial intelligence).
A wish more or less granted
At the start of last week, Donald Trump expressed his wish. “I’d like to be pope. That would be my number one choice,” he replied when a journalist asked him who he would see as Pope Francis’s successor, who died on Easter Monday. Now it's done...or almost.
An unusual announcement that hasn't failed to shock Catholics all over the world.
