"Trump tries to break us, but America will never own us" (Canadian Prime Minister)

The Liberal Party of current Prime Minister Mark Carney has won the Canadian elections. The Conservative Party of opposition leader Pierre Poilievre has conceded defeat.

The Liberal Party has been in power for the past nine years in Canada, previously under the leadership of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. With the new victory of the Liberal Party, driven by Carney, they will remain in power for the foreseeable future. For now, it remains to be seen whether the party will actually achieve a majority in the parliament or will need to cooperate with other parties to govern Canada.

"President Trump tries to break us so that America can own us, but that will never happen," said the victor Mark Carney in his victory speech, noting a turning point in Canadian history. "Our old integration relationship with the US is over. We have overcome the shock of American betrayal, we must take care of each other."

The Prime Minister also announced that he will speak with Donald Trump in the coming days about "the future of two sovereign and independent nations". Carney also said that he wants to strengthen partnerships with European countries and make Canada a superpower in the field of energy.
