Trump accuses the media of manipulating the polls

On his Truth Social network, Donald Trump declared that media polls regarding his popularity rating were false.

According to him, his administration is operating "better than ever".

"The lying media polls are false! We are doing very well, better than ever, fake news," Mr. Trump wrote.

In early April, the data from a Reuters/Ipsos three-day poll was released. According to the results, Mr. Trump's approval rating as president had dropped by 2 percentage points compared to a poll conducted from March 21 to 23, and also by 4 points from the 47% approval he had shortly after taking office on January 20.

At the time, reports indicated Mr. Trump was facing public dissatisfaction with his economic and foreign policies, scandals within his administration, and his military strategy.
