This Wednesday, the couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. An occasion they enjoyed far from Buckingham Palace.
It was in Italy, in the gardens of the British ambassador Edward Llewellyn, that Charles III and his wife Camilla posed for this unique event. Indeed, the couple landed in Rome on 7 April for a state visit. They quickly joined Llewellyn at his residence, the Villa Wolkonsky. As reported by the Belgian media RTBF, after welcoming them to his home, the ambassador showed them around the property's green spaces, where they took a series of official photos for their porcelain wedding.
And apart from these few snapshots, all smiles, the royals haven't planned any special celebrations. Camilla and Charles III will therefore follow, during these four days of official visit, their programme including, among others, a stop at the Colosseum and a visit to Ravenna. However, their appointment at the Vatican was cancelled due to the Pope's health condition.
