The former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev stated that more countries were going to acquire nuclear weapons .
For him, the West is pushing the world to the brink of the Third World War by waging a proxy war against Russia in Ukraine. Medvedev is known for such vehement and provocative statements.
A few weeks ago on X, the former Russian president had stated that Emmanuel Macron, whom he called "Micron", "will disappear forever by May 14, 2027, at the latest. And we won't miss him", referring to the end of the French President's second term.
While Medvedev stokes the flames, the Russian president Vladimir Putin continues to support the idea of a ceasefire in Ukraine, "but Russia has yet to receive responses to the key questions it has concerning a truce proposed by the administration of American President Donald Trump," the Kremlin stated on Monday.
Last month, Mr. Putin stated that Russia supported, in principle, an American proposal for a ceasefire in Ukraine, but that fighting couldn't cease as long as a number of crucial conditions weren't resolved or clarified.
