The United States sends a clear message to Kim Jong-un: this alliance must end

Russia and North Korea continue to strengthen their ties. This rapprochement is viewed very unfavourably by Washington.

Last Thursday, the White House officially called on the two allies to “end” their cooperation. 

This statement comes at the very moment when North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reiterates his promise of “unconditional support” to Moscow in the war against Ukraine.

“The military deployment of North Korea in Russia, as well as any support provided by Russia to North Korea in return, must cease,” stated Tommy Pigott, spokesperson for the US State Department.
