US warns Iran of retaliation ‘at levels never seen before’

The United States has issued a stark warning to Iran, vowing an unprecedented level of retaliation if Tehran launches attacks on U.S. military bases in the region.

As missile exchanges between Tel Aviv and Tehran continue intermittently, Donald Trump made it clear that any Iranian aggression against American forces would provoke a severe response from Washington.

“The U.S. had nothing to do with the attack on Iran tonight. If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the U.S. Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before,” said the American president on Sunday.

He added: “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel and end this bloody conflict!”

Nuclear negotiations scheduled for Sunday in Oman were canceled due to the escalating situation. For months, Washington and Tehran have been engaged in talks to revive the Iran nuclear agreement, but progress has stalled amid ongoing disagreements.

The United States is pushing for a deal that would lead to the lifting of sanctions in exchange for the full dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program. Tehran, however, insists on maintaining a civilian nuclear program, a point of contention that has prevented a breakthrough.
