The United States has announced the end of sanctions against Ukraine, including the resumption of intelligence sharing and military assistance to the country in its ongoing war against Russia.
The Ukrainian president’s office shared the news on Tuesday following talks between Kyiv and Washington in Saudi Arabia.
The U.S. had previously suspended all military aid and intelligence sharing after a dispute between Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Donald Trump, and JD Vance several weeks ago, when the Ukrainian president traveled to Washington to sign the mineral trade agreement.
The decision to cut off support had sparked widespread criticism within the American political sphere, including from some members of the Republican Party.
Kyiv has accepted a 30-day ceasefire proposal, which must now be submitted to Russia for approval.
