The miracle of seat 11A: Briton (40) only survivor of plane crash

40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh appears to have an exceptional guardian angel, as the British man of Indian descent was the sole survivor on board the Air India plane that crashed Thursday afternoon in Ahmedabad (India).

Vishwash had spent a few days in India visiting family with his brother Ajay Kumar Ramesh (45). He was injured and is receiving medical care in hospital, but miraculously he is not in any life-threatening danger. The man suffered injuries to his chest, eyes, and feet. All other passengers and crew died in the crash. The Brit was seated in seat 11A of the Air India plane, which crashed about thirty seconds after take-off. He has already been visited by the Indian Minister of Home Affairs.

The aircraft was en route to London Gatwick airport and was carrying Indian, British, Canadian, and Portuguese citizens. It is still unclear what exactly went wrong on the aircraft.
