Europe is ‘indirectly at war’ with Russia blasts Kremlin

The Kremlin has strongly criticized the continued military support provided by European countries to Ukraine, claiming that such aid amounts to indirect involvement in the ongoing conflict.

In a press briefing, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov argued that the delivery of European weapons represents an escalation and a diplomatic failure to reach a peaceful solution.

"We see that Europe is participating indirectly, and that arms deliveries to Ukraine, of a wide variety of weapons systems and ammunition, continue," Peskov told reporters, according to Russian media cited by EFE, Agerpres, and Digi24.

This statement comes as Russia has proposed new peace talks with Ukraine, to be held in Turkey on June 2. While Kyiv has reiterated its openness to dialogue, it has demanded that Moscow first clarify the terms and conditions before any meeting takes place.

At the same time, Ukraine and Germany have signed a military agreement to jointly develop long-range weapons. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he expects the first deliveries to be ready by June 2026.
