The 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, which takes place from April 23 to May 2, is huge! So much so that it's difficult to discover everything and, above all, to present everything. Here are three major innovations in the field of electric cars.

The Shanghai show is an opportunity to redefine global mobility and revolutionise technology. Here, you can admire this new Chinese electric SUV with a range of 1,673km. The new Luxeed R7 EREV, developed by Huawei and Chery, promises to run uninterrupted for 1,673km. "It's an SUV the size of a BMW X6 equipped with Huawei's third-generation driver assistance system and an electric powertrain with a petrol range extender," states the platform Inside EVs France. A hybrid therefore.

While the French eagerly await the Chinese rival to Renault's electric R5, capable of "recharging" in 3 minutes, we've learned that Nio's Firefly, sold at 15,000 euros locally, won't immediately arrive in France (the date hasn't yet been specified). A touch of disappointment for the biggest fans. However, it will indeed be exported to Europe in 2025.

Volkswagen, for its part, could use a controversial technology to offer electric cars with a range of 1000km, according to the website Frandroid. Indeed, the brand could offer electric vehicles equipped with a range extender. A good idea on paper, but one that faces many limitations in reality, especially with European regulations.
