NASA reveals ‘exact date’ Jesus died on the Cross

The exact date of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross has reportedly been "confirmed" by NASA, according to claims that connect biblical descriptions with astronomical data.

According to the Bible, Christ was crucified on Friday, April 3rd, in the year 33 AD. On that day, the scriptures describe the sky turning dark and the Moon appearing red — imagery that has long been tied to the dramatic events surrounding the crucifixion.

NASA has found that a lunar eclipse did, in fact, occur on that same date — which would have caused the Moon to appear red, commonly referred to as a “blood moon.”

NASA said: “Christian texts mention that the Moon turned to blood after Jesus’s crucifixion — potentially referring to a lunar eclipse, during which the Moon takes on a reddish hue.”

The apostle Peter, in the Book of Acts, is said to have referenced the phenomenon, quoting the prophecy: “The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.”

However, biblical scholars note that Peter made this statement 50 days after the crucifixion, during the festival of Pentecost.

Biblical experts Colin Humphreys and W. Graeme Waddington from the University of Oxford support the theory, noting that both the timeline and astronomical events match up with the biblical account.
