It's the most epic "photobomb". Barack Obama unintentionally crashed a family photo.

Two children (a brother and sister) were posing along the Tidal Basin, a dam located right in front of the Washington Monument (in Washington, USA). Just as the photographer was capturing the siblings, Barack Obama suddenly made an appearance. The former US president, who was leisurely walking around the site, had no idea he'd just ruined the snapshot. And the photographer didn't immediately realise who was in the background...

Who's that in the background?

“I was trying to frame it well with the Washington Monument to the left, the cherry trees to the right, and the children in the centre,” explains the photographer who has been capturing scenes at this tourist site for years, offering spring photoshoots among her services. “In a tourist spot like this, you stop noticing the passers-by at some point!” In four out of the five shots, Obama indeed appears in the background, accompanied by his security detail.

It's Barack kids!

Of course, the main man was informed and greatly amused by the situation on Instagram, where he shared the shots. “It's fun to play tourist every now and then,” he remarked, before adding: “I hope you enjoyed the moment! Sorry for popping up in your photo.”

For the photographer, there's no doubt it was the “best photobomb ever”.
