On 19 May, in the penultimate episode of the famous American series The Handmaid’s Tale, an unreleased version of the hit "Look What You Made Me Do" was broadcast. This suggests that the singer may be about to release a re-issue of her album Reputation, from which the song is taken.

Since 2021, Taylor Swift has been doing everything she can to regain control of her music, by re-recording her first six albums. As reported by Belgian media outlet RTBF, this initiative comes after she lost the rights to her masters—the original recordings—which were bought without her approval by her former manager. By creating new versions of her albums, she's able to reclaim ownership of her songs.

The re-issues are often very close to the original versions, and sometimes include a few extended or previously unreleased tracks. While she has already reworked the albums Red, 1989, Fearless and Speak Now, she still has to release a new version of her very first album and Reputation. Good news—the latter could be released very soon.

Taylor Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, are convinced: the singer will make the big announcement on 26 May, at the American Music Awards. Beyond The Handmaid’s Tale, fans have spotted several clues that may confirm this re-issue: a hidden message on her website, whose initials apparently spell out the name of the award ceremony, and the animal symbol for 2025—a snake—which, according to RTBF, could feature on her record.
