Alex Luck, an Australian naval analyst, discovered a submarine base off the east coast of China using Google Earth, with six nuclear submarines docked.

For military experts, this clearly demonstrates the growth of the nuclear submarine fleet under Xi Jinping's government.

The submarines are located in the first submarine base, about 18 kilometres east of Qingdao, in the Yellow Sea, with easy access to the East China Sea and the Sea of Japan.

China's maritime power continues to worry, as it has worked relentlessly on its development since 2010, having built more than a dozen nuclear submarines.
