Salah Abdeslam to become a father

Salah Abdeslam, the terrorist involved in the Paris attacks of 13 November 2015 and the Brussels attacks of 22 March 2016, is to become a father. His lawyer confirmed this to the French news outlet CNews.

Salah Abdeslam was sentenced to life for his role in the Paris attacks. In prison, he received numerous love letters, often from young radicalised women. In 2022, he married over the phone a woman chosen by his father. Three years later, his wife is pregnant.

"A prisoner has the right to sexual relations in prison," said lawyer Samia Maktouf on the French channel Cnews. “Even a terrorist retains fundamental rights according to the rule of law. This includes human dignity, including the possibility of having a family life, even behind bars.”
