NATO countries will not be intimidated and want clarity from Russia regarding a ceasefire.

Russia now "owes the US a swift response," according to French Minister Jean-Noël Barrot upon his arrival for talks with NATO colleagues. The British and German foreign ministers sent a similar message to the world upon their arrival in Brussels.

NATO countries are therefore increasing pressure and demand clarity on a ceasefire. The European countries believe Putin must quickly agree to a broader ceasefire in Ukraine. According to major countries like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and also The Netherlands, the Kremlin needs to stop stalling. The United States, according to the Dutch foreign minister, is also becoming increasingly impatient. Furthermore, countries like Canada intend to impose a deadline on Moscow.

More and more NATO countries want to set a deadline for Putin to respond to the US proposals. For instance, Finland suggested Easter as a deadline.
