"Russia is the 'real obstacle' to peace" (Kaja Kallas - EU)

In the night of Wednesday to Thursday, Russia conducted a large-scale attack on the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with missiles and combat drones. According to emergency services, there are already 9 fatal victims and 63 injured. Among the many injured are also children. This is reported by the military authorities of the Ukrainian capital and Mayor Vitali Klitschko on the messaging service Telegram. Kharkiv and other cities were also attacked again, according to local authorities.

Russia is the “real obstacle” to peace in Ukraine. This is how the high representative of the European foreign policy Kaja Kallas responds on Thursday to the new Russian attacks on Kyiv. “While Russia claims to strive for peace, it launched a deadly airstrike on Kyiv,” states Kallas on social media. “This is not a strive for peace, but a mockery of it. The real obstacle is not Ukraine but Russia, whose war goals have not changed.”
