Putin’s special call for Trump’s birthday

On Saturday, as he celebrated his 79th birthday, the American president revealed on his Truth Social platform that his Russian counterpart had given him a quick call…

“President Putin called me this morning to very kindly wish me a happy birthday,” wrote Donald Trump. In addition, the Kremlin leader shared his views on the conflict between Is.raël and Iran and told the White House resident that this war must come to an end. “I replied that his war must stop as well,” added Trump, referring to the conflict between Kiev and Moscow.

Ready for a new round 

Still on the phone, Vladimir Putin emphasised that he was ready for new negotiations between Ukraine and Russia. He apparently informed the American president about the “implementation of the agreements reached during the meeting between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations in Istanbul on 2 June”, covering prisoner, wounded, and soldier body exchanges, according to the outlet 20 Minutes.
