Putin threatens Germany: beware of the new escalation of the conflict

Friedrich Merz, the future German chancellor, has recently expressed his intention to maintain military support for Kiev, which didn't please the Kremlin at all.

Russia is now threatening Germany which, through the future chancellor, is gaining confidence and is considering the possibility of sending Taurus missiles to Kiev. These weapons are capable of striking deep into Russian territory.

During his daily briefing, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov warned: “Mr Merz supports various measures that can and will inevitably lead to a new escalation of the situation around Ukraine.” According to him, the German chancellor “advocates for a hardening” of the conflict, “a similar position observed in other European capitals”.

He added: “Unfortunately, it's true that European capitals aren't inclined to seek ways to achieve peace talks, but are rather inclined to provoke further continuation of the war.”
