P. Diddy faces life sentence: trial starts Monday

The American rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs will appear in court on Monday. That's when his trial commences. The trial may last between eight to ten weeks.

The fallen superstar faces a life sentence for charges including rape, human trafficking for sexual exploitation, extortion, and fraud.

The 55-year-old rapper has been detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York since 19 September 2024, awaiting his trial. He continues to assert his innocence.

In October 2024, more than 100 victims accused him of sexual abuse. Today, the number of alleged victims stands at 120. Among them are said to be several underage girls.
