‘Golden Dome’: Trump unveils ultimate defense system to protect US

On Tuesday, Donald Trump unveiled a bold new defense initiative called the "Golden Dome", aimed at shielding the entire United States from potential foreign missile attacks.

The project is expected to cost $175 billion and, according to the president, should be completed by the end of his current term.

“This design for the Golden Dome will integrate with our existing defense capabilities and should be fully operational before the end of my term,” Trump said.

He went on to claim that the system would offer unprecedented protection: “Once fully constructed, the Golden Dome will be capable of intercepting missiles even if they are launched from the other side of the world — and even if they’re launched from space.”

Trump also announced that General Michael Guetlein of the U.S. Space Force would oversee the massive undertaking.

“We’re talking about a total cost of $175 billion once it’s completed. This is crucial for the success — and even survival — of our country. It’s a very evil world out there,” Trump warned.

The announcement follows an executive order signed in January, which called for the construction of a nationwide missile defense system — a protective dome designed to defend against enemy strikes from any origin.
