Due to fraud on social media, fans of the English rock band Oasis have lost more than two million pounds.

Fraudsters sold fake tickets and the victims thought they were purchasing tickets to the concerts of the newly reunited pop group. This was reported by the bank Lloyds on Wednesday.

"The bank estimates that in the UK alone more than 5,000 have fallen victim since the start of ticket sales, with over two million pounds (£2.3 million) lost to the fraudsters," wrote the bank on Wednesday in a press release. In fake advertisements, tickets were offered at reduced prices, the bank reports.
