The city of New York is taking on a formidable challenge (quite literally). In a few years, a new tower might appear in the New York skyline… The “world's longest” tower!

The first images of this construction project are simply breathtaking! The architecture firm Oiio, leading the project, plans to erect a structure of 4000 feet, nearly 1200 metres. The tower, in the shape of an inverted U, will overlook Central Park, promising an incredible view of the entire metropolis. Oiio, through this major construction, hopes to push the boundaries of urban planning, according to the media outlet Demotivateur.

The architecture firm specifies on its website that a lift will be able to “move in curves, horizontally and around bends”.

Still at the Project Stage

The tower, named The Big Bend, would surpass the One World Trade Center by 650 metres. As a reminder, the city nicknamed the Big Apple was one of the first to design buildings of unprecedented height, capable of reaching the sky.

For now, the tower designed by Oiio, still seeking investors, remains at the project stage.
