One might think that these are the Shahed drones, which the Russians are particularly fond of, but this weapon has very different specifications.
According to the specialist website militarnyi.com, Kyiv has just launched production of a new drone called "Batyar." Ukrainian weapons experts specify that the device is powered by a combustion engine, "has a range of 800km, an 18kg warhead," and is capable of striking in several ways: as a bomber, a decoy, or a suicide bomber. But its greatest asset is that "it stays on target even when damaged": "It maintains its trajectory in a steep dive, ensuring precise targeting."
Sharp expertise
Drone attacks have become commonplace between Russia and Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict. This is an area that Ukrainian defense has mastered to perfection. The launch of mass production of the "Batyar" marks a new turning point in the war, reports the media L'Indépendant.
