Man hangs on to high-speed train for 300 miles

A 42-year-old Pole travelled 300 miles through France on Thursday by hiding in a small space between the last carriage and the locomotive of a high-speed train. Miraculously, he survived the journey.

The man had hidden in a sort of niche, between the last carriage and the locomotive, above the hinge between the carriages. The TGV had departed from the Gare de Lyon in Paris on Thursday morning, with Barcelona as its destination.

The man was discovered by train inspectors in Valence, after a 300 miles' journey.

Despite the high speed of the train, with top speeds of nearly 200 miles per hour, the man survived the journey. He was taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia.
