Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army, declared that Tehran is “fully ready” to strike Israel, which has repeatedly threatened the Middle Eastern nation with military action.

The warning comes as U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem visited Israel to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and provide an update on the ongoing nuclear negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

“If they [Israel] are in a rush to receive another True Promise operation, we are fully ready to deliver an appropriate strike—and collect on what they already owe us,” Mousavi warned.

Talks between Iran and the United States resumed last week, but have so far produced no tangible progress.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump suggested on Monday that a breakthrough may be imminent, stating during a press briefing: “We’ve had some very, very good talks with Iran.
