To everyone's surprise, Chelsea won the inaugural edition of the Club World Cup with a 3-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in New York on Sunday evening.

Inspired by a brilliant performance from Cole Palmer, the Blues sealed the result in the first half thanks to a brace from the attacking midfielder and a goal from summer signing João Pedro.

PSG were reduced to 10 men late on after João Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair.

After winning the Europa Conference League, the London team ended their season in style by winning another trophy.

Speaking to DAZN after the match, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca said: "I have no words for the players, they all deserve it and it's a great moment."

He added: "For me, we won the match in the first 10 minutes. We set the tempo and pressed very well. The conditions were difficult, but the boys coped very well."
