Ukrainian forces struck key defence industry factories in Russia on the night of 14 June. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the troops targeted sites involved in the production of explosive materials.
The attack was carried out by unmanned systems units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other defence force components.
During the attack, the facilities of JSC NNK in the Samara region were hit. This is a leading company involved in the production of components for explosive materials. Explosions and a fire were reported in the industrial area.
The Nevinnomyssk plant in Russia's Stavropol region was also targeted. It's one of the main producers of key components for explosives, munitions and rocket fuel.
