Kim Jong-un’s sister issues chilling warning over nuclear threat

Kim Yo-jong, politician and advisor to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, said that any attempt to remove the country's nuclear weapons was nothing more than a "daydream."

Last week, American, South Korean, and Japanese diplomats reaffirmed their commitment to denuclearizing the Pyongyang regime. However, Kim Yo-jong expressed defiance toward the statement, emphasizing that such proposals amounted to a denial of North Korea’s sovereignty and reminding that nuclear expansion is enshrined in the country’s constitution.

She said: "It only fully exposed the uneasiness of the US, Japan, and the ROK [Republic of Korea], in a desperate plight of having to talk about denuclearisation in chorus."

She added: "If the US and its vassal forces continue to insist on anachronistic denuclearisation… it will only give unlimited justness and justification to the advance of the DPRK [North Korea], aspiring to build the strongest nuclear force for self-defence."

This statement comes as a group of North Korean soldiers briefly crossed the border last week before quickly retreating.
