At least 14 people, including an American citizen, were killed on Tuesday in a Russian bombardment of Kiev.
An attack that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky described as one of the "most horrific" that the Ukrainian capital has ever suffered. Initially, the municipal authorities spoke of at least 16 deaths, before lowering the figure.
A few hours later, the emergency services found other bodies, bringing the death toll in Kiev to at least 14. The attack is one of the deadliest to hit Kiev since the Russian invasion began in February 2022, and comes at a time when peace talks have stalled.
Mr Zelensky said that "Kiev has suffered one of the most horrific attacks" of the conflict, with more than 440 drones and 32 missiles.
