Jimmy Gressier, who else?

The 27-year-old Jimmy Gressier is in the form of his life and demonstrated that this past weekend in the streets of Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Belgium.

The French top athlete was crowned European champion in the half marathon. Gressier, who is under contract with Kiprun (Decathlon), impressed on the quite challenging course in Belgium. The man from Northern France was the only one to clock under an hour for the 21 kilometres and made a particularly jubilant gesture after 59:45. Gressier promptly leaped over the victory tape. And he did this deliberately: in doing so, the amiable Frenchman humorously announced that he will be taking part in steeplechase events this summer. Norway took silver with Awet Nftalem Kibrab, while Valentin Gondouin completed the French celebration by taking bronze.
