While promoting his autobiography “Avec le temps”, famous French presenter opened up about his relationship and the secrets of its longevity.
While his book discusses his beginnings in the television world, but also, and above all, how he established himself on screen for the long term, Michel Drucker wanted to pay tribute to his wife, who has been with him and supported him for over 50 years.
Speaking on France Inter, the host of Vivement Dimanche spoke about his relationship with complete honesty. "Of course, I’ve slipped up; I’m not a saint. Each time, that's the strength of a couple: it's my wife who got me out of it. Almost every time I had an opportunity, as Michel Blanc would say, I talked to Dany about it," he confessed.
An unshakeable love
Michel Drucker acknowledges everything he owes to his wife Dany, whom he has been married to for over 50 years: "You can't have such long careers unless there's someone at your side. [...] There’s always a man and a woman behind."
As for his lapses, the host indicated that Dany had forgiven him. "Yes, of course. She knows me inside out and then she sees me as a kid, a child." As reported by the Belgian media RTBF, during this interview, Drucker highlighted the strength of this love: "Every time there have been storms, the blue sky returned quite quickly. She knows me inside out. (...) You know, when you've been married for 52 years, there are essential things."
