According to the journalist and author, who presents himself as one of Elon Musk's biographers, Seth Abramson, the head of Tesla may be mentally unstable and poses a danger to the United States.
“I legitimately believe Elon Musk could go mad,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), before clarifying: “I'm a biographer of Musk who has been following his online behaviour for the past two years – and, given that he has admitted suffering from mental issues, heavy drug use, and paralysing stress, it's now reasonable to fear he's seriously ill.”
And when it comes to Musk's involvement in many “industries essential to civilisation”, including artificial intelligence and aerospace, Seth Abramson asserts that the American billionaire's madness “and his growing incitement to violence put us all in danger”. According to the journalist, government action would be necessary to curb Musk's rise in power.
"A guardian of Western culture"
As reported by the media JVTech, Seth Abramson's opinion may not find the expected echo in Washington, but on X, it has opened up a debate. Supporters and detractors of Elon Musk have weighed in with their comments. While for some, he's a “guardian of Western culture”, for others, he's an “incredibly rich sociopath, with a stranglehold on global politics and communication”.
It should be noted that Musk has never tried to hide his “difference” and his way of functioning. “I know I say or post strange things, but that's just how my brain works,” he admitted in 2021 on the show Saturday Night Live.
