It's a "world first": Ukrainians shoot down a Russian fighter jet with just one drone

This Saturday, 3rd May, the Ukrainian military intelligence (GUR) claimed that one of its naval drones had destroyed a Russian fighter jet using a missile. According to the GUR, this is a world first.

The "group 13", one of the units of the GUR, shot down a Sukhoi Su-30 off the coast of Novorossiysk, a major Russian port located on the Black Sea. The intelligence agency declared this in a message on social media, reports the media outlet L'Indépendant. According to information from the Kyiv Independent, the Ukrainian army used the maritime drone Magura to achieve this.

According to the GUR, it's the first time a Ukrainian navy drone has hit a Russian aerial target.
