Iranian revolutionary guards declare readiness for war

The chief commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, General Hosein Salami, stated on Thursday that the Islamic Republic is prepared for 'war at all levels' and will respond to any aggression, amid ongoing tensions with the United States and Israel.

"The enemy sometimes threatens us with military action. We have always said—and we repeat it today—that we are prepared to face any scenario, whatever the circumstances," Mr Salami said at an event in Tehran.

The head of the elite military corps asserted that Iranian armed forces are "ready for war at any level."

The chief of staff of the Iranian armed forces, General Mohamad Hosein Baqari, announced the start of military manoeuvres across the country to "improve defensive strength, operational readiness, and deterrence capability."
