Adil.gofast, a Brussels influencer, has received a 17.5-year driving ban and a €25,600 fine.
The influencer rented dozens of sports cars that were registered in Poland and Germany. He then drove through Brussels at extremely high speeds (sometimes even exceeding 155 mph), performed dangerous manoeuvres and posted videos of his exploits on Instagram.
Despite previous driving bans, he continued to drive, was stopped several times, drove under the influence of drugs, and was convicted for hit-and-run and drug offences, as revealed during his trial.
The judge imposed the maximum penalty: three driving bans of 5 years each, two of 1 year, and one of 6 months. The total amount of fines came to €25,600. He must also retake all of his driving tests and undergo medical and psychological examinations.
