Nuclear shelters have become popular in Poland. Several companies have started constructing bespoke nuclear shelters across Poland out of fear of a nuclear offensive from Moscow.

"These shelters are primarily designed to protect against a nuclear bomb, but also against armed attacks," explains Janusz Janczy, president of ShelterPro.

Janusz Janczy explains that the demand for this type of infrastructure has increased since Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States and announced his intention to withdraw from NATO.

"Previously, there were only a few calls per month. Now, it's dozens a week. My clients are more afraid of Russia. And they fear that NATO will not come to the defence of Poland," he admits.

The recent actions of the United States in terms of foreign relations have been a source of concern for a large part of the Polish authorities as well as for the civilian population.

In the coming days, France and Poland plan to sign a defence agreement, and another pact with the United Kingdom is in preparation. France also plans to include Poland under its "nuclear umbrella".
