If you cross its path and look closely, this object can kill you in two days!
This object is human kryptonite, also known as "elephant's foot" due to its specific shape, reminiscent of a pachyderm's foot. What is it made of? Melted remnants of a nuclear reactor from the Chernobyl plant, as noted by the media Demotivateur.
In 1986, on April 26 to be precise, the temperature of reactor number 4 was so high that the concrete and steel used to protect the core both melted and formed radioactive lava. Once cooled, the nuclear mixture hardened and transformed into a material called corium by scientists.
30 seconds is already too much
But… beware of this seemingly gentle name, corium is a deadly object! Just a few seconds in front of this mass, and it's your life at stake. In fact, if you spend 300 seconds with this "elephant's foot", you will die within two days following exposure. This is due to the amount of radiation: 10,000 roentgens recorded with measuring tools, reports Demotivateur.
30 seconds exposure will leave you dizzy and fatigued for an entire week. Two minutes in the same room as the corium? The radiation will manage to destroy your cells, causing fever, vomiting, and diarrhoea.
