The US President Donald Trump jokingly said that he would like to become the next pope. In any case, he has no particular preference as to who should take on this role.
"I would like to be pope. That would be my first choice,” he said in response to a question about who he thinks should be the next leader of the Catholic Church.
He added that he didn't have a personal favourite for the position, but suggested that Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, might be a good choice.
"I don’t know. I have no preference. But I must say that we have a cardinal who comes from a place called New York and is very good, so we’ll see what happens," he added.
