A strange story comes to us from the US state of New York, where hikers under the influence of drugs began hallucinating and involved rescue services in their delusions.
This remarkable incident took place on 24 May on Cascade Mountain in the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Two hikers called the emergency services during their trek, claiming their third companion had died. But when a park ranger arrived to carry out the rescue, it turned out they were under the influence of hallucinogenic mushrooms and no one had died at all. According to the ranger's report, the third hiker was in good health, but the other two were clearly having a strong trip.
