From Olympic snowboarder to drug lord: Canadian disappeared like snow in the sun

The FBI is searching for 43-year-old Ryan Wedding. This Canadian was active as a snowboarder at the 2002 Winter Olympics, but since 6 March 2025, he has been on the list of the 10 most wanted criminals by the FBI.

Ryan 'El Jefe' Wedding is on the run and wanted for his role in a drug trafficking operation and for several murders related to the drug trafficking network. Police believe the former snowboarder is hiding in Mexico under the protection of the Sinaloa drug cartel. Anyone who can provide the golden tip leading to Wedding's arrest can expect a reward of up to $10 million (approximately €9.3 million).
