France raises the tone: "Russian aggression must end"

On 14 March, on his X account (formerly Twitter), French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he had spoken with his Ukrainian and British counterparts.

“I spoke today with President Zelensky and then with the British Prime Minister Keir Starmer following the progress made at the meeting between the United States and Ukraine in Jeddah on Tuesday," wrote the French head of state.

For Emmanuel Macron, "Russia must now accept the American-Ukrainian proposal for a 30-day ceasefire". "Russian aggression in Ukraine must end. The atrocities must stop. The delaying statements too".

He guaranteed: "Tomorrow, we will continue to work to strengthen support for Ukraine and to achieve a solid and lasting peace."
