For Ukraine, China is an accomplice in Russian aggression

The alliance of authoritarian regimes led by China is helping the Russian Federation commit the crime of aggression against Ukraine, said Oleksandr Merezhko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation

"We're facing an alliance of authoritarian regimes led by China, which, in one way or another, are assisting the aggressor in committing the crime of aggression against Ukraine. Therefore, it's important for us that the free world, the democratic countries led by the United States, supports Ukraine by all means and doesn't allow the coalition of authoritarian states to destroy us," said Merezhko to Interfax-Ukraine in response to the statement by Chinese leader Xi Jinping on the need to eliminate the root causes of the war in Ukraine.

He emphasized that North Korea supports Russia not only economically, essentially financing its war machine, but also by disseminating Russian propaganda.

"We must clearly understand that Russia and China are coordinating their actions and are attempting together to destroy the existing world order, which is based on rules and not on the law of might," Merezhko noted.
